Founded in 1977, Affiliated operates two world-class monitoring centers situated in geographically diverse areas of the country. We are proud to count businesses throughout North America—ranging from nationally recognized security, PERS and IoT providers to unique technology startups—as our customers.
Infrastructure
Monitoring Centers
Our monitoring centers are the backbones of the security and life safety systems they power. That’s why Affiliated Monitoring’s UL Listed, TMA Five Diamond Certified and FDNY Approved monitoring centers are built, staffed and maintained to meet and exceed the most stringent standards for security, redundancy, and reliability.
Our infrastructure is designed for operational excellence with two mirrored, geographically independent locations: Affiliated North in Union, NJ hosts our 82,000 sq. ft. headquarters and is the largest monitoring center in the United States. Affiliated South is located in Houston, TX and is a fully mirrored and load sharing monitoring center supported by a diverse talent hub.
Network & Telephony
Speed and accuracy are required to power the systems that our monitoring specialists use to help people in need. That's why Affiliated has always relied on a fully redundant Cisco environment to power our switches, routers and firewalls.
All of this is fully integrated into our Avaya S8800 phone switches and G450 Gateways, which communicate over three national service providers—Verizon, Qwest, and CenturyLink - and utilize both copper and fiber lines. These sophisticated systems provide complete redundancy with automatic failover features.
Hardware & Power
Our physical architecture and power plants have been highlighted in Security Nation for their impressive design as part of our thorough resiliency and recovery plan.
Redundant Caterpillar C15 generators and dual Liebert NX UPS’s are there to maintain uninterrupted power to our facilities when you need us most. Tested under load every week, you can be certain Affiliated Monitoring will always be available for you and your customers.
All of our alarm-receiving technology is designed with redundant receivers and supported by a dedicated alarm signal processing team. We boast a highly scalable receiver environment that can accommodate nearly all digital, cellular and IP transmission formats.
