What is the ASAP Program?
The Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) program is a computer-aided dispatch system designed and operated by The Monitoring Association (TMA) and the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO International) in numerous jurisdictions across the United States.
How Does it Work?
ASAP to PSAP reduces the amount of time required to provide responding authorities with critical alarm information during a dispatch by replacing the standard telephone call from a monitoring specialist with a computer-to-computer data interchange. Errors caused by misunderstandings or address confusion are virtually eliminated. The result is faster alarm response times from participating agencies with Affiliated.
